Battle Line Rivalry was the name given to the annual meeting.

When Arkansas left the SWC to join the SEC in 1991, however, the series came to an end.
The series resumed in 2009, with Arkansas winning 47–19 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, a neutral site. The initial agreement between the two schools stipulated that the game would be played for at least ten years, with five additional four-year rollover options, for a total of 30 seasons. Following A&M’s move to the SEC, the game was played at Kyle Field in 2012, Arkansas in 2013, and AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in 2014. The series will return to each team’s home stadiums beginning in the 2025 season.
